Actions of You’re here outperformed Zacks’ domestic auto industry over the past year (+ 84.5% vs. + 40.1%). Zacks analyst believes that strong demand for the Model 3 and Model Y has supported Tesla’s revenue. Tesla hit record third quarter production levels despite a chip tightening, thanks to strong demand for Model 3 / Y cars.
With China being the largest market for electric vehicles, TSLA is expected to report strong revenues from its Shanghai plant in the coming quarters. Production of the Berlin and Texas gigafactories is also slated to begin this year. In addition to increasing automotive revenue, Tesla’s energy production and storage revenue also improves profit prospects.
Meta-platforms stocks have gained + 14.7% during the period since the start of the year against the S&P 500’s gain of + 22.7%. The Zacks analyst, however, believes that Meta has enjoyed steady growth in user numbers across all regions, especially Asia-Pacific. The increased engagement for its products like Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Meta Watch has been a major growth driver.
FB’s focus on becoming a Metaverse business is remarkable. Meta’s strong balance sheet and cash flow generation capability is a key enabler. The tech giant, however, expects revenue to be affected by changes Apple made in its iOS 14 update that limit its ability to track trends in user activity.
Actions of Abbott Laboratories gained + 19.7% in the past six months compared to a gain of + 8.5% for Zacks’ medical products industry. The Zacks analyst believes that the strength of ABT’s branded generics and international diabetes business is expected to drive growth in the coming quarters. New product launches and acquisitions are expected to further boost sales.
Abbott posted better-than-expected earnings and sales for the third quarter of 2021. With the exception of neuromodulation, the company experienced organic sales growth in each of its operating segments. In adult nutrition, ABT reported strong global demand for Ensure and Glucerna. Slow growth in the nutrition business in China, however, continues to constrain revenue growth.
Other noteworthy reports we feature today include Comcast and 3M.
